OPCMIA Local 919 is pleased to announce the 17th annual Bob Murray Memorial Bursary.
The $1,000 bursary is available to children and grandchildren of OPCMIA 919 members in good standing. The child must be 17 years of age or older and finishing grade 12 or already enrolled in post-secondary. Applicants must complete a 500-word essay about “the importance of unions” to be eligible. Deadline to apply is Friday, December 5, 2025. Send applications to opcmia@opcmia919.org.
Last year’s winner was Ivy Threatful (child of OPCMIA member Al Threatful). She is now studying at Simon Fraser University (where she is a student athlete) with the help of the Bob Murray Memorial Bursary.
